Mapreduce dalam Layanan Transcoding

<p>Penyediaan <em>file</em> video dengan <em>bitrate</em> bervariasi menjadi syarat utama bagi layanan <em>Video On Demand</em> yang menerapkan <em>adaptive streaming</em>. Hal tersebut dilakukan <em>transcoding</em> menghasilkan<em> </em>video <em>multi-bitrate</em>. Proses <em>multi-bitrate</em> membutuhkan waktu tidak singkat. Lama durasi waktunya sebanding besarnya <em>bitrate, frame size</em> dan <em>frame rate</em>. Untuk mempersingkat <em>transcoding</em>, dibuat sebuah prototipe <em>transcoding </em>dengan <em>Mapreduce</em>. Layanan <em>Mapreduce</em> terdiri dari satu komputer <em>master</em> beberapa <em>worker</em> terhubung dalam LAN. Dengan dikoordinir oleh <em>master</em>, komputer-komputer mengerjakan proses <em>Map</em> <em>Reduce</em>. Di terhadap <em>segmented videos</em>. <em>Reduce </em>dilakukan penggabungan segmen-segmen telah di-<em>transcode</em> parameter/<em>key</em> (<em>bitrate, size,</em> rate</em>) sama utuh. Prototipe </em>dibuat menggunakan <em>Library FFMPEG</em> untuk SCP transfer <em>file</em>, RPC komunikasi antar komputer. pengujian prototipe, jumlah ditentukan sebanyak 7 buah. Kinerja sangat memuaskan rata-rata efektifitas </em>sebesar 71,3% dibandingkan </em>menggunakan komputer.</p><p> </p><p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p><p><em>The provision of files with varying bitrates is the main requirement for Video Demand services that implement adaptive streaming.
